Rosa

Rosa was sewn into our family almost a year ago. Josie and her Grandma Abbott made her, and she has endured a lot during her year of life, as evidenced by her missing eye and stained pink skin. She shows up unexpectedly at all sorts of places like sacrament meeting, when she has been told she absolutely can not come. She has made it to school a few times, and I'm sure Josie's primary class is well acquainted with her even though she has been told to stay home. Not only does Josie love her creation, but so does Savanna.

Savanna calls her "Wosa", and she takes precedence over all of her other dolls. . . .which are very numerous.

Here she is in all her glory! (I have to laugh at the latest addition of the hair elastics used to form her waist.)

Here is Savanna napping on Josie's bed with "Wosa". Notice that they are both naked. Savanna loves to dress and undress her and her dolls all day long. I wouldn't mind if I never had to help redress the dolls (they are little stubborn at times) or do extra loads of laundry because even a drop of water on a sleeve constitutes "dirty" and must be put in the hamper. (Secretly I rescue many outfits and put them back in her drawer when she isn't looking).

"Wosa" is a treasure in our home, loved by two little girls. Sometimes it is the simple things that bring the most pleasure!

OH, YES.....I know Rosa (I mean "Wosa"). Josie brought her to our Primary class to show us what she and her Grandma made together. Pretty neat and she has a great memory with her Grandma, too. The most 'loved' dolls are the best!!!!
