Don't you hate it when the rules get changed mid game?? I do, but unfortunately I need to make an adjustment. A kind friend, more experienced than I, suggested that I give a deadline for submitting items and then a separate deadline for bidding on the items. Sounds like good advice so this is how it works. I will accept auction items until that first deadline Jan. 13, 2009 at 10:00p.m. (Pacific time) Then the actual auction will be on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2009 at 10:00p.m. Or to state that more clearly, the auction will end at that time on Tuesday the 19th. The aucion begins the minute the item is posted, so bid away!
I will post the winners as soon as possible on the 20th. At this time I will attempt to notify both the winner and the offerer of goods/service!
I will go back to the other post and change it there too in an attempt to lessen confusion. I'm posting the explanation here so that anyone who goes back to reread the rules won't think they are loosing their mind!

Rachelle, this doesn't make complete sense to me. so, you will have all the items by the 13th. when will the auction start then? the morning of the 13th? and then end at 10pm on the 19th?
I'm glad you asked because if you are confused others probably are too. The auction has started already so bid away! I won't post any new items after the 13th. And the highest bidder as of the 19th by 10:00p.m. will be the winner. I hope that helps clarify.
Rachelle
rachelle, i am sure you are swamped and overwhelmed but it hink you need to add a text gadget to the top of this blog stating this info. i was thinking we weren't supposed to start bidding until the items were all submitted. maybe also ask those who have put items up for auction to spread the word. there are a tons of things up for auction...now we need some bidders!!! this is great rachelle!
